The Robin Hood Company was incorporated in 1904 as a subsidiary of Robin Hood Powder Company in Swanton, Vermont. In 1906 its name was changed to the Robin Hood Ammunition Company. Remington Arms purchased the company in 1915 and continued to operate the Swanton plant until 1919 when it was closed.
