Originally established as Explosives Company Ltd in 1881, they became the New Explosives Company in 1885. They were acquired by Nobel Explosives Company in 1907 but continued to manufacture under their own name. Became a part of the Explosives Trades Limited in 1918 and shortly thereafter ceased to operate. They used Eley shells most often with Eley’s headstamps, there is only the one headstamp for New Explosives that I know of.
