Mullerite Cartridge Works Headstamps - Aussie Metal Detecting & Fishing

This page contains Mullerite Cartridge Works shotshell headstamp photos and production date ranges. The date ranges below are not exact but an estimation of production dates based on available information. Mullerite was a powder made by Muller & Company of Liege, Belgium around 1899. This powder was sold through a London office by Muller & Company in 1901 until 1903 when it moved to Middlesex. It may have been sold in foreign made shells at this point in time. In 1905 Martin Pulvermann was appointed British agent for Muller & Company. With Martin’s death in 1910, his son started the Mullerite Cartridge Works in Birmingham. Eley supplied them with empty shells under a twenty-year agreement from 1911 onwards and Muller & Company supplied them with powder. In 1919 P.R.B acquired Muller & Company. The Mullerite Cartridge Works went into receivership in 1952.
